Tropical Gardening Course with Gene Joyner

Learn the secrets of tropical gardening with Gene Joyner, retired PBC Extension
Agent. Join us and acquire a basic knowledge of the plants that grow well in
this unique sub-tropical climate that is South Florida. This three session
short course is a combination of seminar and workshop in the Garden. Topics
include: April 3- Plant Selection & Maintenance- Learn about common landscape
plants and trees, installation, fertilizing & pruning. April 10 – Insect &
Disease Control – Learn insect identification and control, including
beneficial insects and diseases. April 17 – Lawn Maintenance – Learn about
the grass varieties, pest and diseases, watering and fertilizing.

More Than a...Spring Plant Sale & Hibiscus Show

Saturday, April 24 – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Member’s Breakfast Saturday 8:00 am –
9:00 am Sunday, April 25 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm This annual plant sale
features over 80 vendors with an amazing assortment of quality plants and
goods. Palms, orchids, bamboo, begonias, bromeliads, fruit trees, and many
other types of plants will be for sale.This is your opportunity to learn about
the plants that grow well in South Florida and it’s the best place to find
something new for your garden. The American Hibiscus Society, Sunrise-Conrad
Chapter will be having their hibiscus show featuring many of the state's best
blooms and plants will be available at their booth. The Palm Beach County
Woodturners will be selling a large selection of their beautiful
woodturnings. New members receive a free plant from the Mounts’ Nursery
Guild. Memberships will be available at the gates.
