Intermediate Watercolor Painting with Carl Stoveland

Learn the magic of watercolor with artist Carl Stoveland. This class is designed for people with some watercolor experience and does more complicated paintings than the beginner class. You should be comfortable doing washes and working in layers to be in this class.  Join us as we paint a variety of subjects from still life and florals to landscapes and portraits. We work from reference photos that Carl provides. In the intermediate class, you may also choose to work from your own photo, and Carl will guide you. Classes are held in air-conditioned classrooms. Students bring their own supplies. You can find a suggested supply list on Carl’s website at https://www.carlstovelandart.com/links. If you have any questions about supplies or the class, email Carl at [email protected].

Passionate about watercolor, acrylic painting and urban sketching, Carl Stoveland is an artist and photographer living in Lake Worth Beach, and he is a founding Member of the Lake Worth Beach Urban Sketchers group. His seasoned experience includes serving as an artist in residence at Dry Tortugas National Park, producing photo documentary exhibits, and serving as managing partner at Gallery Meraki in Garnerville, New York, where he exhibited his work and taught photography. Carl found his passion for photography and painting while growing up hiking along trails and streams in the Catskill Mountains. His dad worked in photo labs and his mom is an oil painter and watercolorist, so the apple didn’t fall far from the tree!
