Children’s Maze

A Living Puzzle

The Children’s Maze provides fun for all ages with its branching pathways. Mazes are known for their mystical and magical quality; this maze was created in the 1980s from a sweet fragrant shrub whose white flowers bloom twice a year. Hedge mazes evolved from the knot gardens of Renaissance Europe and continue to delight today. At the center of the maze, visitors will discover a Bo Tree, said to be the species of tree that Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher known as the Buddha sat under when he attained Enlightenment.
