Did you know that synthetic dyes are a major source of water pollution? Learn how to make your own natural, organic dyes in a rainbow of colors.

In this fun, introductory class you’ll learn how to use avocado pits, hibiscus flowers, turmeric and other natural materials to make natural organic dyes. We will discuss plant materials, fiber selection, pH and proper use of mordants. Participants will receive fabric samples that they can dye and take home.
