SUMMARY:Pause in the Garden
DESCRIPTION:\nPart of Susan Rubin’s Living Beyond the Box series — gently reconnecting us with nature, creativity, and small moments of reflection.\n\n\n\nStep outside the box and into the morning rhythm of the Garden.\n\n\n\nBring your favorite beverage and wander the garden paths during the softer hours — catching the 10 o’clock breeze, reflecting beside the lake, and enjoying the many shady spots throughout Mounts’ twenty-five specialty gardens.\n\n\n\nGathering naturally fallen elements, we’ll create our own nature “frolics” — playful temporary arrangements inspired by observation, creativity, and the simple beauty of being in the moment.\n\n\n\nAlong the journey, we’ll explore fresh distinctions in awareness, check in with the current planetary energies, and reflect on ways to work with the rhythm of the day.\n\n\n\nNo artistic experience needed. Just curiosity, comfortable shoes, and a willingness to slow down long enough to notice what’s already here.\n\n\n\nDress Code: Comfortable walking shoes and casual attire to ground in nature.\n\n\n\nABOUT YOUR GUIDE:Susan Rubin is a licensed Interior Designer and Creative Guide who invites people to let their imagination soar — blending mindfulness, creativity, and gentle self-discovery to help others live beyond the box. Drawing on more than 25 years in design, a lifelong love of the outdoors, and her own nature-based practices, she helps participants reconnect with curiosity and find simple moments of daily magic.\n\n\n\n$35 members; $40 for nonmembers; includes full Garden admission.Registration is required; limited to 24 adults; classes are nonrefundable; classes will be held rain or shine.\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here ( https://114251.blackbaudhosting.com/114251/packagetickets?tab=3&txobjid=afcdf1b4-a0b0-473c-864f-38d9de985561 )\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:TIERRA RITUAL: Cacao, Yoga Nidra & Sound Bowl Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nHeld by Earth, guided into presence.\n\n\n\nJoin us in the garden for a grounding ceremonial experience designed to reconnect you with nature and the quiet intelligence within your body.\n\n\n\nTogether, we will gather on the Earth and allow nature to hold and support us in relaxing the nervous system and returning to balance. We will open the space with copal cleansing, followed by a heart-opening cacao drinking ritual. Cacao is a natural plant medicine known for its rich profile of beneficial compounds that support focus, energy, and heart-centered awareness.\n\n\n\nFrom there, you’ll be guided into a yoga nidra meditation under the open sky, before settling into a soothing sound healing journey to support integration. We will close with time for quiet reflection and optional sharing. \n\n\n\nPlease bring a yoga mat and anything else you need to lie comfortably on the ground (such as a pillow, blanket, or light layers).\n\n\n\n***Please no alcohol on the day of the ceremony and no caffeine 3 hours before and after the event.***\n\n\n\nContraindications:\n\n\n\nCacao is gentle, but it is not recommended for those who are pregnant, nursing, or taking antidepressants or MAOI-related medications. If this applies to you, you are still welcome to join the ceremony in full presence, though cacao will not be served. Please consult your healthcare provider if you have any health concerns before attending.\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor\n\n\n\nJennifer Baez is a trauma-trained somatic coach, yoga instructor, mindfulness educator, Reiki Master, sound healer, and Craniosacral Therapy practitioner.
