Discover New Ways to Wellness

Inspired by our Windows on the Floating World garden, this series of Walks and Classes in June and July are designed to relieve stress, boost awareness, and increase strength and energy. All classes take place inside the Exhibit Hall and will begin with a gentle walk through the Garden.


Wellness Walks with April

June 2, 9, 16; July 7, 14
Guided Sunflower Power Walks
Wednesdays, 8:30 am to 9:30 am; $5 for members; $15 for nonmembers.

Reconnect and recharge with nature. Experience the beauty and plant life of the Windows on the Floating World Tropical Wetland, along with other garden areas, and watch our newly planted Sunflower Field as it grows each week. We will walk for fitness and for fun.

June 4, 11, 18
Guided Meditative Wellness Walks
Fridays, 9 am to 10 am; $5 for members; $15 for nonmembers.

Join us for a peaceful walk designed to quiet your mind, boost your mood and bring awareness to your environment and your body. As you walk through the Garden, your guide will give you prompts to help you engage your body, mind and spirit. Each walk will include a stop at the Windows on the Floating World Tropical Wetland and will focus on a different wellness related theme.

Qi Gong with Roxanne Cumberland

Wednesdays, 10 am to 11 am; $10 per class for members; $15 per class for nonmembers (includes full Garden admission).

Relieve stress and increase your metabolism, flexibility and strength.  Qi Gong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique. The exercises include simple, slow movements (which mimic nature), meditation and focused breathing — similar to Tai Chi.  Each class will begin with a gentle walk to the Exhibit Hall, where we will continue with the exercises.

June 19
Yoga Nidra with Heather Berg

Saturday 9 am to 10 am; $10 MBG member/$15 nonmember (includes full Garden admission).

Open to adults at all levels; bring water and Yoga mat or towel.
Yoga Nidra is a practice of profound deep relaxation and is the highest practice of self-care for body, mind and spirit. Our exploration will start with gentle walk to the Exhibit Hall where we will continue inside with easy movement and breath work, culminating with a guided Yoga Nidra practice. No (physical) Yoga or meditation experience required.

June 26
Loni Markman’s Belly Bootcamp

Saturday 9 am to 10 am; $10/MBG member/$15 nonmember (includes full Garden admission)

Belly Bootcamp is a fun twist on a traditional approach to Pilates. Enjoy a full body Pilates class with a deep focus on core strength. Meet at the front gate for a brisk walk to the Exhibit Hall, where our power hour will unleash your core!

July 10
Stress Break: Meditation & Breath Work with Jacqueline Burbage

Saturday 9 am to 10:00 am; $10 MBG member/$15 nonmember (includes full Garden admission)

Open to adults at all levels; bring water and Yoga mat or towel.
This class will offer a unique expression of therapeutic yoga focusing on the present moment, breath awareness and meditation. No experience necessary, just come with an open and curious mind.

July 17
Vinyasa Yoga Flow with Jess Pfeffer

Saturday 9 am to 10 am; $10 MBG member/$15 nonmember (includes full Garden admission)

This Vinyasa yoga flow class will stimulate your senses by bringing awareness to all of them through movement. Meet at the front gate just before 9; instructor will walk the group through the Garden to the Exhibit Hall. Vinyasa is a physical practice that also awakens the mental and spiritual beings that we all are.

July 24
Reiki Healing Sound Bowls Meditation with Jessica Prestia

Saturday 9 am to 10 am; $10 MBG member/$15 nonmember (includes full Garden admission)

Reiki is a powerful healing modality that helps us to release energetic blockages, tension and stress, so you can connect with your higher self. Class will meet at the front entrance and begin with a healing Garden walk to the Exhibit Hall, where you will be guided with meditation, Reiki and sound healing. You will leave feeling harmonized and refreshed!


Use of Face Masks: Mounts Botanical Garden (MBG) follows all recommended policies issued by Palm Beach County, the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County, and the CDC to ensure the health and safety of our guests, staff and volunteers. If you are fully vaccinated, you are not required to wear a mask inside County buildings, which includes all buildings on our campus. If you are not vaccinated, the recommendation is for you to wear your mask while indoors and outdoors, where you are unable to socially distance.
